Spine chilling performance - THIRTEEN

Welcome to the open house viewing of Brinkburn House, 13 Dead End Drive. Ms Kensington, our knowledgeable estate agent will give you a tour of the house whilst taking you back through it’s mysterious history.

The performance was a variety show with a twist. Each act was devised and played out a scary story involving the previous inhabitants on the house. The audience arrived and were met with a gallery of pictures of each and act and were then invited to follow the estate agent into the theatre, where the performance began. Each act appeared chronologically as the estate agent took the “buyers” though each room of the house.
The performance was very well received! In particular the audience enjoyed the dance finale that told the story of the crucible and linked the house to a story of witchcraft.

This original performance has been devised by BTEC Subsidiary Diploma Performing Arts student. Well done to all students involved - a spook-tacular performance!

Visit to Metro Radio in Newcastle

Myself and A2 Media student Jess, had a great time at Metro Radio today. We had a tour of the studio and saw where Magic and Metro/TFM are broadcast. It was fascinating to see how behind the scenes many departments have to work together such as the news desk, social media desk, sales desk and advertising desk. We even got to meet Brian Moore who presents the midday show including the top 10 at 10! It was a real privilege to see a working station.

First day at the radio station!

Jess, Mathew, Jack, Grace, Shaun, Emily and Eleanor went to Stranton Radio station today and had a very productive afternoon!

Students recorded a sports jingle for the college and also created an advert for a funeral home. Both pieces of work sounded great!

Enhancing Creativity - Demonstration of Track and Jib

The A2 Media students will be starting their music video filming from 17th October. Technician Craig gave students a great demo of the kit and students were really inspired to use this kit in their work. We are really pushing creativity this year in student work so it is great to hear students being ambitious in their work!
